A pair of Hedman tubular exhaust manifolds to suit Rover V8 engines fitted in right hand drive Defenders, Discovery 1's and Range Rover Classics which are not fitted with catalytic converters. Please note that on all vehicles a custom y-piece will need to be made to join up to your existing system, flanges and short pipe tails are included to make this process as simple as possible. The pipe from each exhaust port is 1.5", which go to a 2.5" collector - ideal for any Rover V8 including those with our stage 4 Merlin cylinder heads. If your vehicle has catalytic converters, you will require the other pair of headers we list on our shop, which we modify to clear the crossmember on vehicles with catalytic converters installed.Please note: on fuel injected vehicles we recommend chipping your ECU when fitting these manifolds to ensure fuelling remains correct. Carburettors should be re-tuned.
RPi Advice
- Compatible with non-cat Defenders V8's, Discovery 1's and Range Rover Classics, a custom Y-piece will be required. If your vehicle has catalysts, please see the listing for the other Hedman manifolds in our shop.
- The paint the manifolds are supplied with is a protective coating only, flaking/burning off when in use is normal. Minor scratches from transport/storage is also normal
- We don't advise use of heat wrap on exhaust manifolds, especially on vehicles used off-road. The wrap holds on to water/mud, and will accelerate rust significantly. Heat shields and/or ceramic coating are a better option where heat management is required.
- Ceramic coating is available as an optional extra for these manifolds and can help prevent corrosion as well as reduce under bonnet temperatures, please enquire if this is of interest
